From Bump to Baby: Nicole’s Beautiful Journey

There are some stories that stay with you, and photographing Nicole’s journey into motherhood is one I’ll always hold close to my heart. I first met Nicole when she was glowing with anticipation, her 2 girls running around in sparkly dresses. She was radiant and full of joy. Then came the birth. Being invited into that intimate space was an honor I don’t take lightly. She was a powerhouse and capturing the moment of her 3rd baby girl being born was so special.

About a week later, I visited Nicole’s home for a newborn and family session. Once again, her sparkly-dressed girls ruled the room, full of personality and completely at ease in front of the camera. The house was alive with love, laughter, and the beautiful chaos that comes with a newborn. Not long after, I returned for a quieter, more intimate session — just Nicole and her baby girl. The house was quiet this time, and the connection between them was gentle and soul-stirring.

We spent most of the session in her bathroom, where the natural light poured in like something out of a dream. It was the perfect backdrop for those tender moments — soft cuddles, sleepy stretches, tiny toes — just the two of them, wrapped up in love. Nicole is no longer just a “returning client.” Our connection has grown into something so much deeper, and I’m endlessly grateful that she’s trusted me to document such meaningful milestones in her life. It’s a gift I don’t take lightly — and one I’ll always cherish.
